manual boost controller

Do you guys have any suggestions on one..or are they a bad idea.
Also, are they difficult to install?

I had mine installed for me. It was $120 for the labor (u get jacked) and the boost controller was around $300 or somthing i forget.

was it a manual or electronic one...i've seen the manual ones for like 90 bucks..are these just pieces of crap then? do you have to spend 300 to get a good one?
