Lots of people have asked me how I made my sub and they want me to post pics from the work...
So I built my enclosure and rack so that I could remove the center of the amp rack and still access my spare tire. I first make the supports on each side of the spare tire and then make the center amp rack connect from each side. You can see the setup in the second picture (without the center rack). Then I masked off the corner to get fiberglassed and fiberglassed the back side. (sorry don't have pics). After that dried I made the sub ring and window supports and mounted them where I want. This was time consumming because I kept changing the angle of the sub.
Then I mounted the window and sealled it very tight.
Then I fleeced over the entire enclosure to create the form of the outter wall of the sub box. And I fiberglassed all the fleece except for over the sub hole and window.
After that dried I removed the fleece from the window and the subhole. Then I built the remaining part of the floor borads and the amp rack.
Now... I left the sub like this for over a month - kinda lost interest in it since it was now fully working. But, I finally got my butt into gear and finished the final product. The last step envoled countless coats of car bondo to smooth out all the enclosure to prepare for painting. This took days. Also, I covered the amp rack with a vynil very close to that of the stock vynil (I still have crap loads left if people want to buy some cheap).
And here's the finished product.
