LSD maintenance

I was curious if the Limited Slip in our Speed's needs any maintenance, such as an oil/fluid change or lubrication or anything like that. I couldn't find anything about it in the manual, so I thought I'd ask you guys!

I'm going to be changing my manual transmission fluid before the autocross season starts up, and figured that while I'm under there I might as well do anything the LSD requires too. So let me know what you guys think.

I dont really know, but the tranny grease ususaly lasts a very long time before it needs to be changed

Don't forget to add the limited slip additive to the tranny fluid.

Syncromesh works wonders on our tranny and the shifting but I just put in some RP Syncromax in my tranny today and it's *perfect*. Shifts like a dream now instead of the nightmare it was...

You don't even need LSD additive for our differential. LSD additive is for differentials that have wet clutches in them so they will not chatter during tight low speed turns. Our differentials do not have clutches. I believe they work like Torsen differentials in that they limit slip by means of worm and ring gears, not clutches.

Correct.

Yeah just change the fluid, and if you really want to get technical take the tranny apart and add more welds to the differential. It only has 3 spot welds and could become a problem if you autox alot or just beat the crap out of your car.

Word. This is not a strong point on our cars.

I've been meaning to change mine for quite some time, but never gotten around to it. I was also curious as to how much tranny fluid our msps take?
