Lowering My Pimp Ride

Hello,
I did quite a bit of extensive searching and still have some questions about coilovers and lowering and springs.
1.What is the BEST way to drop my ride, replace springs and struts, and those are coilovers, right? Coil over oil. I guess replacing just springs can be bad...Keep in mind i need an adjustable ride hight for the snow.
2. What are the options? I see Skunk works, eibach, etc. What companies only offer springs and what companies make both?

Tein s-tech's, Prokit, espelirs. If I were you, spend it on some Tokico blues and some espelirs and it will be really nice.

does espelirs have a web site? i heard alot of good things about them.

i currently have the teins on stock struts, the drop was never really even (the front is slighly lower than the back), but i've grown into it

i've had this set up for 8k miles and no problems so far

if you just want to drop it for looks i would buy the Tein S-Techs and keep your stock struts. I have had no problems and the drop looks great! it has a nice stance and looks sweet!
Here is a pic of my car to give you an idea of the drop.

Noxide - i'd like to see a pic of your ride ON PAVEMENT to see how it really sits. Got any better pics?

there are thousands of pis of pros on s-techs....

As for the original question, do you want handling? Good ride? There is a tradeoff depending on what you get. Coilovers are excellent for handling-and are a rough, harsh ride. Regular replacement springs are a bit softer, and ride better.

If you need adjustable ride height, you have to get coilovers or air bags. And dont call it a "pimp ride", it makes all the rest of the proteges cry.

I'm getting Tokico Illumina 5-way adjustable struts and Tein h-tech springs. The h-techs might be good for you in the snow cause I'm pretty sure they have the mildest drop of all the aftermarket springs.

anarchist, you'll have the same setup as me...The racing beats are the least drop. H-techs are the next. The h-techs I'm hoping will level the car out a bit. The racing beats sit too low in the rear compared to the front for me.

Yeah man, I'm really looking foward to it. I'm probably gonna take advantage of a good deal I found and buy the h-techs today, but I dont have the money for the illuminas yet. Should be a heluva combo when its all put together with the awr rear sway

i carry both the springs and struts needed to do the job at Protege Garage if you are interested

heres my car on skunk2 coilovers and stock shocks.. its low and thers a little bounce, but not much, we have good roads here though..
