Low Gas Light......

Man that sucks WaatDaHell. I just filled mine up today cause my light came on. I don't top off very much after the pump shuts off since I use the pay at the pump. GOd I love that. anyways, I put 12.2 gallons in and I got 371 miles outta it. And I don't exactly drive conservatively, I have fun with my mp3 when I hit some nice windy roads, but still get pretty good gas milage. In the book it says for the 2.0 engines you are supposed to use 91 atleast but I doubt it makes that much a differene in a small low performance engine like mine. Now my friends RXS runs like s*** unless he has atleast 93 in it. And who can afford $1.70 a gallon atleast anymore. Oh yeah, I drive an average of 100 miles a day and 75 of them are highway. So add that to the equation too.. Alright nough to think about.

well, your mileage would be really nice to have. with about 12.2 gallons, I'd maybe get 300, and I try not to use the A/C and control my road rage. I guess, I'll have to deal with it. And regarding the Octane level, using anything above 87 is a waste of money. I will no longer discuss this issue of octane level, cuz it simply gets retarded and ridiculous.

s***, we pay 72.9cents (that was this morning's price) per litre here for REGULAR, that's $2.76 CDN per US gallon, super is 82.9cents, so that's $3.14 CDN per US gallon

$1.70 US is $2.72 Canadian (exchange rate is about 1.6), you guys get the dino fuel for cheap.

holy cow. If I drove up there I'd be drivinga 3 cylinder metro getting 46 mpg. That's just crazyness to pay that much. I feel for ya. Course, your salaries are probably higher than the norm down here so it probably balances out in the end.

I pay 46% in income taxes , and from what I know, my salary is camparable to yours in the same field.

To be honest, I don't want to start a flame war, please, I wouldn't live in the U.S.. I think your medical and legal systems are crazy (you pay a fortune in medical insurance and the possibility of having someone's lawyer on your back because you spat on a guy's shoe by accident (for example) is not logical in my mind). If I need a $50k operation (again for example), everyone pays for it, thru taxes, I don't need special clauses in an insurance policy to get the operation, and so on...


Oh and if you come up here, your US$ will get you a lot of gasoline, since $.729CDN is $.456US...beer is also very good

I have nothing against canada and I wouldn't dream of starting a flame war either. But you're right about the legal and medical systems down here. It's getting rediculous what people are sueing other people for. It's sad to say but some americans would sink as low as they could go to get a few dollars in their pocket.

and about the health care... i would rather have insurance provided by my employer or the health care company of my choice than have additional taxes for health care so some guy i dont know on the other side of the country can get "free" (he pays taxes too) health care... i've always been a firm believer in fending for yourslef... once your old enough to leave the house you start paying for your own rent, food, misc. supplies, health care, insurance (car, house, boat blah blah)... thats why i HATE taxes.... i dont mind paying money for the country to keep going... but its the fact that it goes towards stuff i could give a s*** less about... im sympathetic to the homeless... but... get a job... y should i have to pay for you... y should i pay for some ghetto ass family thats on welfare and food stamps? tell the b**** to get a job to support the 15 kids she had w/ 7 diff men... all from the same apt complex... i mean c'mon... i'll admit i was a huge fuckup for most of my young adult life... but now i've got my s*** together... im on my own... working, have my own place, my car, groceries, taxes, gas, utilities, etc etc... seriously, If I can do it... anyone can... and if you cant support a child.... dont have 15!!!!! damn.. this turned into a rant.... wasn't supposed to

haha... yah.. i wonder how many ppl get upset too... but then i think about all the comedians on BET (Black Entertainment Television) that make all the cracker jokes... I laugh harder a white jokes than i do at any others....

Sorry, I don't watch South Park, so I wasn't aware of Canadian jokes...as long as it is taken with humour it's fine with me. I do watch the Simpson's though and the Red Green Show.

take the mp3 for example... in 5-10 yrs if i tried to sell it... i'd get maybe 5-10,000 for it depending on mods and condition... then the more miles and the older it gets... its worth less and less... but then all of a sudden say... 40 yrs from now it'll be a classic and worth quite a bit of money the way i see it (old, nice, and limited edition).... so... who decides when something stops DEpreciating and stars APpreciating (is that the right word for this context??)????? just curious... and i got a million more ?'s just like those ones

EXCELLENT point.... its just basically impossible to setup a system to decide who isnt taking care of business and who CANT take care of business... thats just the way certain things in the world work... you cant setup laws or rules for things like that... you cant say... ok... if your under this age, are this healthy, have been unemplyed for x number of years, and have x number of kids, you have to leave.... it just doesnt work that way... every case is individual... ALOT of aspects of this world work like that... unfortunately... most gvt officials are either as stupid as george w bush or as corrupt as bill clinton (which isnt necessarily a bad thing... clinton rocked man...) but in a money way... not a poonany way... so they try to make laws and rules and policies and regulations and procedures for everything... when half the stuff cant be controlled like that..
