I just found out about this fourm, I have 02 silver p5 with just a mazdaspeed exhaust. Where's a good place to start with mods, someone help!!!

BTW, I would suggest just a drop some nice rims, a good sound system and you'll be staright. Maybe an Autoexe front lip. Thats all you need for the P5. Unless your going for a Turbo, it's a waste of time to trying to make this thing fast with N/A mods. Just what I would do, if I had to start all over again.

I hear turbos just cause problems, that I don't want. Looking for simple mods, just add a little pep to it's step.

Well then I think just with the exhaust you should be fine. I wouldn't even mess with the intake, it's not worth it. Throw a K&N in their.Oh yeah and Kartboy bushings and short shifter.

does an intake in the p5 not add any hp or something? i was planning on getting one if its worth the money.

An intake won't add much anything but sound. I'm thinking about getting one too, but am not expecting any gains at all. People say it "improves throttle response", but they also say that about changing oil brands. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. But the make for a nice way to dress up your engine, plus there's the sound.

getting a cold air intake will help...more cooler air=more hp..even if its only a couple of hp...the P5 needs all the help it can get.

I'm talking like a chip or flywheel. Something of that nature, I thought of a cold air and I'll probaly get one but something else. What is there in the world of the p5.

i have the injen CAI, AWR header, mazdaspeed cams, and the mazdaspeed exhaust among other things, and ill tell you as well as matt (pro5man) it all makes a difference. I really noticed after installing the cams and the header.

Unfortunately they don't make chips for our rides. I had a chip on my Zx2 and I'll tell you what, that definetely made a difference. But I guess the P5's ecu is too complicated or something. Yup, I got cams also, it made a difference but..................aw never mind, I guess I would've rather stayed stock from the engine.

You can try to find an MP3 going turbo and swap ECUs with them. That's good for about 10 hp, but you have to run premium fuel.
