Loud Tire or wheel noise from front passenger side

Hello,

2003 msp here. I have noticed kind of recently that my tire or wheel noise is getting very loud when i get up over 40mph. I thought it might be a bearing at first but there is no play when up in the air, the ball joint seems ok as well. Even when up on a lift and the car is brought up to 40+ mph the noise is unheard, it only seems to be when on the road.
The tires are kumho all season 15s on steel rims from winter, but theres plenty of meat and they dont looked cupped at all. Steering the car has no effect on the noise, and throwing it into neutral does not either. I'm starting to wonder if its trans related, as I'm out of ideas. I have not rotated to see if the noise follows yet, or pulled the caliper off to check play, but it seriously sounds like im running 4x4 swamp tires at this point.

Thanks!

Well just in case anyone else reads this, it ended up being both front wheel bearings. Better to just replace them both at the same time.

Yup same problem for me. (just driver side) it took me forever to find. At first i though it was the wheel bearing but there was no play when in the air (like yours) but after eliminating everything else. Its gotta be the wheel bearing.

I am having the same problem right now, when I ran it in the air I put a stethescope on both sides and also on the support bearing, I noticed the bearing noise was loudest on the passenger side axle support bearing. I just went to buy new wheel bearings and a new support bearing and nobody can find me a support bearing. Does anyone on here know if this part is available aftermarket or am I going to have to pick one up from the dealer(eeeeek)????
This support bearing I am speaking of is located in the center of the long cv axle, the passenger side. It is a simple support bearing with a small housing and 2 bolts in case anyone isnt familiar with which part I am referring to. Thanks
