Loud Exhaust

Take off the exhaust from the turbo back. It sounds mean and gives mad flow. It also saves a ton of weight. Another good tip is take off all the air intake BS and run the turbo without a filter, this is how my boys run them in Yapan. Just ignore the OBD II s*** with the check engine light.
If you suck something up in the turbo we can over night some parts from Yapan.

not that is has or had anything to do with this thread or anything else but i HAD an 88' TII. any other questions? want my first born or urine sample in the eye?(piss)
 
that's why i put the RX-7 on hold cause I got a 20G and an external WG, but I need a stand alone to reach full potential

what am i trying to do? you asked a question and weren't specific about it so i answered. i figured there weren't many other people on here or ones checking out this thread for that matter that had any kind of Rotary much less an FC.

There's the Haltech, Microtech, AEM, TEC III and the A'PEXi Power FC are all pretty good choices.
The Power FC and new Haltech control the OMP.
The Microtech has a nice pricetag.
Lots of them can be had in plug and play format, which will save some time.
But you might want to replace all the wiring anyways, due to the age and condition.

I favor the early ones myself. While the updated tail lights, body side molding, wheels and turbo/wastegate are improved on the V, I like the IV better because the OMP is not electric, the engine compression was lower and the cars weigh less.
 
yeah I hear that I fused about 10 wires cause of the relocation of the turbo but anyway, thanks for the list it's just too much money right now

whats wrong? dude i thought you were a tuner. you should be able to make some serious cash doing that stuff especially for the rotary community. i'll have some of the guys from the RX-7 club email you and you can tell them how to take an exhaust off. rotaries are very tuner friendly. i bet your S5 smiles at you and winks each time you walk past it doesn't it?

twisted, hrm. what to say, oh i know, plain and simply your the biggest dayum prick in the world yah you may be right to the point on some things you say, and at the same time you contradict yourself, telling ppl to grow up, your the one with the 13 yo attitude problem. I mean, if you had half a brain when you told him to grow up you woulda stop for a second and realized your just as bad.

anyways, to the exhaust point, i do agree with twisted, take of the exhaust?!?!?!? um.. NO. I'll go out and buy me a exhaust with the same sound, hallow out the second cat... NO, i'll buy a cat test pipe. It's not about taking parts off its about replacing them with better proformance parts but onces agian its your car, do as you wish :) Thats like taking the easy way out and heating the springs or cutting the springs becuz you dont wanna buy them, and in the end you end up doing more damage to your car than you would have if you just waited saved the money and baught the right stuff.

so wait,there's something wrong with cutting your springs and just taking your exhaust off. damnit! note to self:cancell plans for weekend:confused:
