lotus sighting

I spotted this while I was in Sydney on my vacation. RHD Elise. **** I love that color.

hey funkybuddah, that is actually the lotus EXIGE.

the exige is basically an elise with a bolted on hard top, revised aero flares to improve downforce, and a few other goodies. it also comes with the 'sport' suspension package that comes as an option on the elise. the exige also runs over $50K, but its worth every penny.

btw, my thoughts on the lotus: this is the one car that i would trade my rx-8 in for without a second thought.

if anyone cares the Lotus Exige is coming to USA in less than a year!!!

Maybe with some good depreciation these can be had for fairly cheap in 5 years or so...he's hoping anyway.

Its faster than that but who the hell cares about stright line speed, your a fool if you bought one for that reason, the elise would run circles around most any car including most cars 3x as much as it costs

For you lotus fans, here is one of the most amazing street car ever produced in my opinion... Lotus 340R. 340 produced worldwide and only 8, yes 8!!! coming to the USA. I've seen these sell over the years on Ebay, autotrader, and at a dealership in Chicago for around $45,000-$55,000. Not bad for a car most people will never get a chance to see with their eyes much less drive.
