ive been looking all over for the person that pluged the holes in their front bumper. i dont have the money right not to fill the holes and that seems like a good idea for now...please help

i plugged the holes in mine using some parts from my pc, i dont know the name of them but they were used instead of screws on my intake and exhaust fans in the case

basically the piece goes into the hole and then you push in another piece which makes the original piece "flare out" inside and holds it in place

they were a perfect fit and have been on for months

here is a pic of them since i was kinda vague, just so happens my car is black:)

I used www.bumperplugs.com They come painted, have Mazda colors, and are a perfect match. You do have to drill in the front bumper to a 1/4 size hole. The dealer drilled holes are too small. They provide instructions. Here's a pic.

They look great from the side too.

I think the total was $33 shipped.

thx gary you were the car i was looking for...saw it in a thread one day but then forgot all about it...the only bad thing doesnt look like they have 06 colors yet but ill have to give them a call and see if i can do something about that....thx a bunch

It was actually TGM3 that posted pics before. We have practically the same car. I just did these last night. Hopefully the guys at Bumperplugs can get your color for you. I know before they didn't have titanium gray and were using an Audi color that matched. Maybe they have one for Whitewater Pearl??

Oh, and check out the link that says something like don't see your color?? click here to see our color guide or something like that. They will tell you the color that matches it from a different make and model.

$33!?! you guys are crazy. thats an absurd amount of money for something that you can get from autozone for $2 and then paint with the free touch up paint you got from mazda when you got the car. ridiculous.....

I didn't get free touch up paint. Did you get a free clear coat as well? If I would have gotten those, I would have done it that way. But, I may have still let these guys do it since I may mess up the paint job. I like it to be flawless and I don't want to have to sand anything down like the walk through shows needs to be done.

you dont need the clear coat. its not like you're painting the bumper with it, you just need to brush some on the plastic plugs. if the paint comes off, you just repaint them. this isnt something that you need to spend $30 on or have professionally done unless you want to have the holes filled. its just a quick DIY fix.

I'd rather have the clear coat to protect it so I don't have to do it again. I realize I could do that myself, but I am very anal and want it perfect. Hopefully some day I will get them filled so it looks better.

So go to your local auto parts store and buy a can of clear enamel. No biggie.

I'd wager to say that the $30 parts don't come clear-coated, either.

Nah....I'll just let someone else do it. My money...I'll spend it how I want you know. Whether you guys think it's a good idea or not. Plus...I did say I didn't want to do it myself because I want it to look perfect. I'm anal about those kind of things. :)

It's a 1/2" diameter piece of plastic. How "imperfect" could it possibly be?? (scratch)

you're right, it is your money but im just trying to help you save i little bit of it.

Thanks, but I would have paid for it even knowing I have the option of doing it myself.

You're weird. (screwy)

It's your money, though. (thumb)

if your standards are so high, then why the hell do you drive a mazda? i think you're either a) just being difficult or b) possess no ability to be able to do it yourself.
