Hey guys I'm new to all this but I wanted to give it a try to see if someone can help me figure out this problem, I just got my car back from the shop after almost a month from an engine rebuilt, I have a mbc and it was turned all the way down before I took it to the shop because of the smoking issue it had when the car was in bad shape, so it was just off, well now I get it back and they turn the boost controller on a couple turns to see if the car was boosting or not, the car is boosting but right after it hits boost it goes straight into limp mode for some reason I took it back to the shop and a p0660 code came up so they checked it and had to replace one selenoid from the throttle body that wasnt opening so they got a new one, right after I picked up the car I was on my way to work and it did it again but this time the check engine light was flashing and I pulled over the car stalled and shut off so I turned it back on and it was normal again but the light it's still on, can anyone help me out here on what to look for, I will really appreciate the help thanx in advance.

Coil packs flashing cel means its miss firing replace those asap and try not to drive the car or itl make your precat go bad

Thanx for your help I'll look into that, the light is solid now it was flashing while on limp mode until I pulled to the side but hopefully I can figure this out.

get the code pulled and its going to say p0300 which is random missfire or p030(1-4) which will be the specific cylinder that is miss firing. i would say to go ahead and replace the coil packs plugs and wires

Iight so I'm the shop right now and they pulled a p0300 and a p0131, the plugs are brand new I know that but they working on it right now, hopefully they can see what it is and fix it, would it go into limp mode because of missfire?? Thanx again.

that was happening to me (limp mode from misfire) replaced coil packs and wires, havent seen limp mode yet (been 2 months but still crossing my fingers haha)

if your already replace the plugs, try replacing the coil packs. should do the trick. post up and let us know whats going on

Thanx for all the help guys, so they couldn't really figure out what's making it go into limp mode but they checked a bunch of stuff and they did said that there was something on the trigger by the crank like a piece of silicone that was there since the rebuilt but idk, it hasn't done it yet, I'm keepin my fingers cross. Plus I turned the boost down on it, how much am I looking at for coil packs?? I might just have to try that if it due it again.
