Lexington DYNO results

195/50= 97.5
205/45= 92.25

Diffrence of 5.25 mm

So that 1 cm overall diffrence. Ah-ha so that's where the extra HP came from. j/k :D

BTW: Did you get your 18's in today?

the tire calculation isnt exact. its close but it varies from tire to tire. i measured both before i swapped and there was a little more than 2mm difference.
my 18"s came in but with the wrong bold pattern so the right ones wont be here until thursday or friday

Thanks for posting the stock whp numbers from other P5's...that really clears it up...This is also excellent info overall for people to have...

If stock P5's are dynoing at 86whp, and the addition of the cams and an intake are yeilding as much as 94whp, what is the problem? Hopefully everyone knew how scewed the gains claimed by distributing centers of the cams were...8whp is all I would really expect...

You are very correct about the exhuast...To bad somebody didnt' dyno a P5 with Just a header/cat-back...the stock downpipe is so bad, people will be blown away by the on paper gains...some guys on the other board (and equinox on this board) have gained as much as 26whp with just a AWR header and an Injen intake...

Also what is the mileage on both of your cars...the facotry bhp ratings are averaged, some engines will make as much as 10bhp more, some 10bhp less...those are extremes but there can be noticable varience between two cars with the same engine...that may be one reason why the 101whp car is showing so much power with relatively few mods...Did you happen to dyno that exact car before mods?

a little bit of info on cam gears....be careful..i have heard of them really messin with start and idle @ 2 degrees....with aftermarket cams...ask shortyhawaii...if the stock is at 86 and u were at 94 that isnt that bad...but for the intake and exhaust to net 14 is surprising. I cant wait to dyno my car ...but will most likely be on a dynojet :D

for reference, i got 103.5 on a dyno dynamics

attached is the graph

Hey KYREDP5, check your PM's!

It's surprising how low of an RPM KYREDP5's peak HP is, Andrew what was the rpm @peakHP for yours?

unfortunately i dont know because of the stupid machine (the speed is miscalibrated)...but i'd guestimate it to be around 6200rpm
