I don't do anything fast, Rob. I'm slow. My car is slow. My brain is slow. :(

Hell it probably took me an hour to swap the disty yesterday. I'm surprised Phens dad didn't slap me and say "Hurry up already!". heh-heh.

I like a man who takes his time with his hands ;)

Wes and I hit Pull-a-Part today and I got a KL-01 crank position sensor and a 94 Accord front lip. Final price- $18, gotta love the junkyard. I was looking at the 2-wire knock sensors while I was there and they seem like the same sensor I already have installed. The 2nd wire is actually the wire shielding Mazda used for a ground for the second pin. So instead of spending $130 on a new knock sesnor and tearing my intake mani and coolant hose off, I'm going to try to make it work with the one I've got. But at least I've got the crank sensor now. It's so bloody hot out that I will pass out if I try working on the P5 until later when it cools off a bit. Wes wasn't looking too well at the junkyard. He almost went night-night it was so hot. heh-heh

evan it wasnt to get the fuel pump working, on the 93-94 diagrams it shows that power coming from the fuel pump relay to the pcm. This makes the ecu think the relay is on and that its good to go, but looking at ur diagrams thats not the case. This is entirely different from grounding the fuel pump relay wire on the protege harness to make the pump work all the time.

You mean to get the injectors to fire? I are confused.

The fuel pump is working the way you had me wire it up.

yeah it was likely to get the injectors to fire, sorry if its confusing, but because your not using the relay/fuse box part of the milly harness the ecu may want to know that the relay is switched on and power to the pump. I did this by giving my v6 power to the wire for the fuel pump. Like I said this has nothing to do with getting the pump to work. However, I don't know if you will need this since your diagrams have the whole fuel pump >> v6 ecu wiring routed differently from the 93-94 diagrams.

Reading these last few pages have given me a headache. lol I am def. not one for wiring but have actually learned a thing or two following along. I'll keep doing so and hope you can get the car started soon Evan.

Hope this helps show what im talking about. Remember this is for the 93/94 harness/ecu/disty

what I get from IukekiniProtege is that the ECU has to know the fuel pump is working before it gives spark and opens the injectors, so it needs feedback from the realy

Okay. So I need to wire in the fuel pump relay power/signals for the ECU to read it?

if its the same as mine, but as stated before. You diagrams look different than the 93/94 MTX diagrams I used and look more like the 93/94 ATX diagrams which are different. Therefore yours may not work this way and may need something else, but its worth a shot.

Right on, right on. I'll dig into that tonight and take notes. I do have an ATX harness since all the Milly's were automatic and I know my motor came from an automatic since it had the super-duper light "flywheel" (or whatever it's called in an auto). Thanks, mang!

I've got tomorrow off of work so I'm gonna be wrenching all day. :)

ps- awesome new sig.

Put the crank position sensor in. Still no spark. Balls. I might try the HEI mod. PDR said they have some caps in stock for $48 or I might just make my own. I need to do a couple more nights of research on PT.com to get a shopping list.

I got the wide band in and wired up. It's pretty.

And I went to the BMV today to give them $134 to renew my registration and license. Bastards.

What a crummy day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I'm going to try to hunt down which wires need to be jumped for the fuel pump relay and give that a try.

Damn sorry to hear the news Evan. Well if you're not done by the time I move in, maybe I can help out lol. Keep at it man! You're so close.
