Can someone double check that the alternator will be wired up okay for DD use?

-Power from ECU to Disty (power) and FI (power) and ALT (B/GY)

-Alternator W/B to LG/W from P5 fuse block

-From alternator (W/G) with a 40amp fuse to the 100amp fuse block

Pablo tested the alternater voltages at the battery and with some throttle it was charging 14volts
hooked up like this;
-12v from battery then a 10amp fuse to disty and FI power and alternator wires (B/GY, W/G)

Sorry, Sean... Yours is next though buddy, gotta keep your head up. I really wish I could help you out more but I don't know jack about wiring...

The power wire we had from the P5 fuse block wasn't giving power to the disty and injectors. So we snipped it and just ran a power wire straight to the disty and FI's. And we also grounded the fuel pump relay. Maybe it was just a combination of a bunch of little things that finally fired it up.

Have you tried that approach? Just giving the disty and FI's power from the battery with a 10amp fuse?

I'm going to try the JDM KLK1 ECU and see if that runs too since it's better suited for the motor.

evan great job, and glad to hear you got it. As for the KL1 ecu does it still use the same MAF? if not u may want to find out which one. Like the Kl55(USDM 94 ecu) uses the KL02 VAF and the KL31/36 ecu uses a JE50 VAF.

How does it drive? :D

Woot!!!! Congrats Evan! Love the vid.....so how fast was your heart beating?

NICE!!!! I love your laugh in the video Pablo! haha! great job! and i know there's much relief too!

Haha! No homo. My heart was pounding and my hands were shaking. Pablo was a HUGE help and did 90% of the wiring, he would just say "This wire goes there." and I'd connect them. And of course, a huge thanks to Justin, Cres and Sean as well.

I don't like making a big deal out of my b-day but I'm 33 today and that was the best present ever. haha

I picked up a 40amp inline fuse, exhaust clamp and non-foulers for the second O2 sensors (since I'm catless) today. So tomorrow will be a full day of soldering and cleaning things up. Then finishing the exhaust hangers and sealing that up. Then get the damn jackstands out and hopefully give it a gingerly spin around the block. I've still got a ton of stuff to do but it's a great feeling to be making progress again. :)

Glad to see you got her running, now get it buttoned up and get re-aquainted. Happy Birthday from Jen, the baby and I!
