I love Pablo's laugh so much. First rate work, man. I wish I had been there, but still, A1 job. I can't wait to see it. Also, Happy Birthday!

Very nice. I'm glad everything is working out so far.

Finish everything up and take it for a drive!!!

Good job buddy! That is a perfect b-day present. I've gotta get up there one day and check it out. How much more work till it's road worthy?

Pablo's laugh sounds so......sleazy ;)

I'm so happy for you Evan! I'm sure there are more bumps down the road, but you are flying downhill at this point towards the finish line!

I hope I can be that ecstatic just once in my life. Just once. And then Pablo can feel my heartbeat.

:)

Thanks for all the birthday wishes guys. I am old, 33 now. Jeez... Where did all those years go? But no pics today guys, sorry. But I gots video. Muhaha...

The first one I made because the motor was knocking pretty badly, but the knock sensor took care of it after a few mins of idle. And the smoke is the header wrap, don't worry. The sweet smell of fruit pancakes.

This one is from the cabin, still some knocking from the motor.

And this one is the sound of the exhaust for s**** and giggles. I've got OBX headers and a CorkSport Power Series. No cats and just the one CS resonator.

You can probably still hear the motor knocking a bit in the videos but honestly, it doesn't knock anymore. And my idle is pretty high so I have to adjust that. And the fan didn't kick on so as soon as it started getting a little above 1/2 on the temp gauge I killed it. But a pretty damn good day today. The interior is still torn apart and the Protege harness hasn't been cut up yet until I get everything sorted. So it's still pretty messy under the hood and in the cabin.

No. heh-heh, I still need to figure out how to wire up the fan to work and get a fan relay so I can tie both of them in together. Baby steps and turtle speed FTW. ;)

Not really. Just up and down the driveway to make sure the tranny and clutch are engaging. The fan isn't wired up correctly so it was starting to overheat. Any clues to wire up this fan?

Connect it using the stock relay to the KL ECU, it's pin 47 on this diagram. This is assuming you have the coolant temp sensor connected properly.

Otherwise just temporarily connect it directly to the battery and drive the damn car!

you have a couple of options. you could wire it to a switch and switch it on when you start the car, you could wire it to the ignition switch to come on with the car or you could do wat justin did was put a sensor inbetween the radiator fins. i think i posted it in this thread already
