Eh... keep with the standard sizes...

Ya, 225 is unnecessary with stock power, lol. I did it just to try it out.

I don't see you posting in the Slammed thread... you're fine.

Oh s***... that's gonna piss them off when they see this. No... no they won't. They follow their own lifestyle, and the performance driving folks follow theirs. And normally, everyone co-exists, talking about each other behind the others backs in peace.

Haha, there's been so much bickering about it lately... I think I finally got them to let it rest yesterday. It was starting to piss me off seeing it in every thread.

You'll see it in MPG's. Well... Evan may not because he has fun driving (Not a bad thing at all!) but when I was running my 02 wheels with Toyo Proxes TPT's, I could consistently pull 34-35 mpg while running A/C at 72 mph.

Eh, they are 17x7 +42 right?

I run 17x7 +40 now, after you factor in the 15mm spacer on the Stock +55 RH's.

If I went out and bought new wheels right now, I would look for a 16x8 ~+40. I just love rpf1's, lol. And I'm tired of the cinder blocks that I have for wheels right now...

Enkei's new PF01's are gnarly, tho. I would love to pick up a set of those. Too bad they only make a 16x7... 17x8 +45/+35 would work tho. +35 I would have to run a bit more camber than I would like, but... ;)

The PF01's are nice but I was under the impression they were lighter than RPF01's....not the case from the weights listed in tireracks ad in GRM. I was a little dumbfounded when I saw the weights/prices for both.

Eh... keep with the standard sizes...

herrafrush yo...haha sorry, couldn't resist. :P

I too would say to stay within the standard or at least close.

Yeah, if you want to add grip, just get stickier tires. You're not going to outdrive 215's with a Protege in daily driver form. Even then... it's debatable if you would otherwise.

Ya, the 225's I have are super sticky max performance summers, too. It's over kill. Stops and grips corners like no one's b****, tho. haha

Not to mention that the wider tires weigh more, negating the benefits of a light wheel...

Yup, I literally have bricks for wheels. (sad2)

Although, you can reduce the sidewall and stay at a comparable weight. Speedo will just be off a bit... But who needs a speedo anyways?? I don't. ;)

You've got MSP EnkeiHarts, right?

Gotcha. Yea, MSP's are 21 and MP3's are 23. I have a set of MSPs.

mine are 24, plus i got bigger tires haha

Lord. I need to get some 15 lb wheels. I guess I want some FDs... But my spacers will put them at +35 which would be pushing it. And it seems like everyone has them now a days. I guess I've never seen them on a yellow 3rd gen b4... I would rather not have to use spacers with my next wheels...
