I think I read about someone else in that HardRace LCA thread about getting some wonky parts from B/A so I went with the Raybestos. Still, $178 shipped for both new LCA with bushings and ball joints is a lot easier to pull the trigger on than the $320 HardRace LCA's. Thanks guys. Now at least I can finally finish the suspension. New ball joints, bushings, Escape endlinks and coilovers. She's gonna feel like a brand new car! :)

Let us know what they look like when you get them, I suspect the Raybestos stuff will be better than B/A.

Will do. You guys know I take tons of pics of everything anyway. I'm trying to turn my build thread into a picture book. ;)

If it only it were a pop-up picture book...money! :D Not sure about all of the o2 sensors, I still have the motor out, you got yours in first so I'll just wait and see what you do :p

So that's why I couldn't find a part number online for ball joints from anyone. Haha! Thanks!
And yes, basically an OBD2 Milly electronics. I was hoping to stay OBD2 for emissions and without a CEL but it's not looking that way. But I'm still using the OBD2 Milly harness and my motor is an OBD2 motor, with a MAF. But it won't pass emissions so I'm going to run it catless and register it to my GF's house. Take that, E-Check.

Told ya... But no one listens to me...

Pink letters mean sarcasm.

Are you talking about the ball joints, Phen? Obviously I didn't remember if you told me or else I would've ordered them a long time ago. Speaking of them though, They already shipped from RockAuto, damn they're fast.

Oh and I got some good news from a fellow in Norway with a 2000 Xedos9 (potentially my motor). He said his motor only has 2 O2 sensors and no precats. However he didn't know the part number on his ECU. So hopefully I'll be able to run the JDM KLK1 ECU with the motor like it was set up from the factory. I still need to find out which MAF it would prefer though. I've got the USDM KL47 MAF so hopefully that will work.

Wes and I will hopefully run to Pull-a-Part this week to see if I can snag a "burp tank" for the MX-6 radiator. Sucks not having a car. Next time I do a swap, I'm certainly going to buy a beater first for parts running and work. heh-heh

(lurk) A few hiccups here and there but overall seems to be progressing well Evan. Keep going man...almost there.

Yeah, the ball joints. But it's ok because I know you have so much research going on on so many different things, it probably went in one ear and out the other. Take notes next time!

Well I took some vacation days from work for the rest of the week to get my motor running and the suspension finished.

It's gonna be a looooong week. heh-heh

Looking at making an air intake with parts right now. I'm going to make it myself with Autozone 3" aluminum tubing and a K&N filter.

I can't remember if I posted anything about it or not but I found a power steering pump hardline from an FSDE equiped 626 yesterday at the salvage yard. It's the same diameter as the Protege resevoir and fits the 5/8" hose well. The two bolt holes line up on the PS pump but the 626 hardline is angled more to face the drivers side whereas the KL harline faces straight up (which is more ideal, obviously). I'm going to play with it tomorrow and see if the 626 line will work without kinking or getting too close to the rear header.

Then off to Summit Racing for 3 O2 bungs for the exhaust. I think I'll have my go-to-guy, Josh, weld in the extra O2 sensor bungs just in case I need to run the USDM KL47 ECU since it will be looking for 4 O2 sensors. If the JDM KLK1 ECU works fine, then I'll just cap them. And the last O2 bung is for the AEM wideband. Which I still need to wire up. Sooo much to do... But this week is gonna be good! :)

All these damn abbreviations are annoying!!!!! lulz

I haz a big boi horn for Evan too...:)

evan, the feed line for fuel is the one closest to the driver side. the other one is return. Hope that helps. Worst comes to worst you have to flop them around

Pulling for ya Evan. I can't tell you how bad I want to be working on that swap instead of wasting away these last few weeks at school lol. Can't wait to get a ride in the V6 P5!

Disclaimer: My P5 will still be slow. I'm swapping in a JDM KLDE/ZE-mutt and my motor is rated 170 crank horsepower. Not to be confused with the more powerful KLZE with 200chp.

IukekiniProtege (Justin), bullshark524, DeeAOne have the much more powerful KLZE with 200chp. And for real fun, thepope540 has a turbo KLDE. They have the big boy motors, I've got the Nick Jr. version. And I'm cool with that. :)
