Has anyone replaced their reverse lights with LED's? If so what brand and do you like them? Are they bright enough?

I must say that I haven't seen a single set of reverse lights with LED's that did anything but look good...no light output at all...others may have other opinions though...

Well that sucks. I'm trying to find a reverse light that's really bright.

you're better off with a halogen than LED, just make sure you're not exceeding the amperage draw by more than about 10% or you're risking your wiring.

I'll get pics tonight for you, I got the leds from a place called v-led, they are 6k HID spec leds so they match my headlights. I have all the leds necessary to do a full retrofit

I have heard of that brand before and it seems to be quite popular in Canada.

How much did it cost you to get the LED's?

they were more expensive than other sites but the quality is very good

the price really varies on the amount of LED's per bulb and if they are high intensity or not

I saw the price on some of them and I was like holy $hit!!!!

I would think that the 54 LED ones are more than powerful enough. Question is if they would even fit, anybody tried those?

v-leds.com bar none.

I will say there t he brightest but still offer little to no output. I will be doing HID reverse lights in the future.

now theres a concept... good luck with that.. sounds like major overkill to me.

Plus with the warmup time of the HIDs, I'm rarely in reverse more than 10 seconds, and by that time the bulbs are barely up to operating temp. Not to mention how hard short firing times are on HIDs...

A certain company has a kit to do it in the MS3. I''ll try it at some point and see how it works and go from their. Tired of not seeing where I back up since I have tinted windows.

I have these now:
2 V-LEDS HID WHITE 48 SMT PARKING LIGHT BULBS 7443 7440

Their sold out right now.

I've got a 20% tint all around, and have my turn signals and reverse lenses tinted... I still don't have any issues seeing...
