I noticed the oil level has gone a little bit down so i started looking around and noticed some oil leaking through the engine head(obviously the headgasket) i was wondering if its a possible job for a rookie to do(with some extra help) i know its going to take me about half a day or so but do you guys think a rookie is capable of doing this?

sorry i havent replied in so long, i just got back from NY but yes i figured out it was from the valve cover gasket, im gonna get on it when i get a chance, ty for the reply

mine engine are lil greasy too... was thinking about doing it too

you can youtube it. i was looking into that yesterday

i guess basicly its just buy gasket and gasket maker. maybe wire brush clean the bolts and clean the old gasket maker and some anti seize for bolts

I had the same problem a few months back and fixed it by replacing the gasket. It was an easy job and I consider myself a rookie. Just watched a few youtube videos to get an idea of what to do. Just be very careful when you take the cover off because you don't want anything to fall in. Good luck.
