Its made for exterior use on cars, it will hold up to the weather fine. Rain, heat, snow, isnt a problem. It has an 8 year outdoor life.
Rocks will obviously damage it, but rocks at 60mph will damamge just about anything.

If you want more info on it. Google search for 3M Scotchprint 1080 and you'll find all the specs. Its really durable though. MINI actually uses this for there optional graphics

yeah.. how much does it actually form to curves? and do you get a lot of wrinkles/bubbles? have you thought about a clear coat over top?

looking better and better mate

Actually, no water is needed...at all. This vinyl has air release channels built into the adhesive. So bubbles are actually HARD to get.
and it forms to curves pretty easy to an extent. Just heat it with a heat gun a little and it'll stretch and form pretty easily

alright, well the build isnt on hold any more, just had some s*** I needed to get taken care of before I went any further.

So got paid friday. Here is what Ill be buying.
*Oil pan Gasket- RTV sucks balls, and it never seals right for me.
*Lug Nuts- The Evo8 wheels use mag style lug nuts, so I have to order a set in black off of Ebay, since I hate chrome.

and thats it. Im still going to continue wrapping the car, and shaving the hatch. So far I have, The bumper, right fender, left fender, and both drivers side doors wrapped. Next will be both passenger side doors, then the side skirts, then the hatch and rear bumper, and last the a pillar to the rear quarter will be wrapped in one piece.

and since words are boring. heres a pic

I purposely put stuff in front of the car lol just a "teaser"

^thanks guys

That looks sweet brotha! How much do you think you're going to have to spend on vinyl to do the whole car?

Ummm...not sure lol I have to see how much I have left after I finish the doors, hatch, and rear bumper. I bought 21 ft, but i didnt realize how much vinyl the bumpers use.
I may have to buy more, but so far, in vinyl, 3M primer (for sharp curves helps the vinyl stick), and application tools, im only at like $400 total. Which isnt bad considering having the whole car wrapped professionally would be $3K+

Oh, and ordered the lug nuts. So as soon as they get here, Ill throw the tires on the wheels, raise the car up a bit, and do an alignment.
First alignment in like...idk 2 years lol
