a story so you understand some pics, I ordered headlights off of Ebay, sedan lights. They were 107 shipped, they got to my house, I un-packaged them and was pretty amazed with the quality. Put them in my room and didnt mess with them anymore, later I went to show someone the lights, and found that I overlooked a crack on the lens. Contaced seller about it and he is going to give me a $40 refund (my choice) so I can fix the lens. I probably just going to super glue it, its not even that bad and Im doing a lamix film over the lens anyways so you wont even be able to see it.

Got a big update coming soon, heres a list of things that you should notice in the pics (when I post them sometime next week or later)
*Deatschwerks Fuel pump
*Removed door moldings
*Shaved Hatch
*Raised the car up a little
*Other secret update

:)

btw, car still isnt tuned, I just switched to 10w-30 Mobil 1 and the oil pressure at idle is much better, but I did notice I have an oil leak from my oil pan again. Not sure why, car will be getting tuned slowly after Im done with all the exterior mods.

Is the pan slightly warped? I told you they have a problem leaking. Im using a cosmetic oil pan gasket and grey rtv and no problems (knock on wood)

I checked it against my work bench in the garage, and it wasnt warped as far as I could tell. I used Black RTV and I've been meaning to buy an actual gasket and use that.
Ill prob do that next oil change.

I don't know if it makes much of difference but you're supposed to use grey RTV (grey is supposed to handle vibration better).

On an unrelated note, do you remember what you were able to see when you took off your fenders? Could you get a clear view of the inside of the firewall? If you (or anyone else) have a pic of a protege without fenders I'd love to see it.

I used black RTV and no gasket on my KL oil pan without any problems.

You and your seceret plans, Simon... Killin me.

Well.....just saw another thread where the guy said he was doing a matte white wrap on his car, kinda pissed me off that I wont be the only one but w/e.
Thats the secret I have been holding onto, but since hes doing it, **** it, ill post progress pics of the car so far.

I dont have pics of the front bumper which is partially finished, and the hatch, which I finished shaving one more emblem on tonight.

looks excellent man!

Looks good, man. I love matte finishes. I saw Modified Magazine wrapped their STi in matte white too. Looking forward to final pics! (2thumbs)

I was thinking of using matte black wrap for mine when I get around to touching up some bad spots in the paint, curious how the front bumper will come out with all the angles and whatnot

Thanks guys, glad u guys like it. And as for the price, cost me 380-somethin for 21 feet by 6 feet, and ill need to order more to finish.
And as for the front bumper, its absolutely impossible to do without a seam, the area around the headlight is too tight of an angle to stretch the vinyl. Ill be doings something that might look weird but I think ill like it

Tiptopsigns.com. They have alot of vinyl and there awesome to work with. I even ordered some of there headlight film, awesome stuff, I just ordered too small of a section so I cant use it.

If your going to do matte black, I would reccomend the 3M brand, because its pretty much the best out there. SUPER EASY to apply on flat surfaces and some curves, like fenders. But the bumper takes alot of effort and time. I've been working on the bumper for roughly 4 days now in my spare time, and im not even halfway done yet

EDIT: the Deatschwerks fuel pump came in, pretty glad I ordered that one instead of the aeromotive. It came with the full installation equipment and the pump. Not sure if the aeromotive would have came with all the extra stuff. Ill be posting pics tomorrow if I get time.
Also in case you guys didnt know. Im re-finishing these wheels as my temp wheels.

looks good, always been a fan of the matte colors since i saw my car before the clear was sprayed. Can't wait to see this finished and with the evo wheels

i'm curious as to how that wrap stands against rain and stuff like rocks and such on a highway. or bugs on a back road, etc. looks pretty sweet but how well does it stand against the elements
