lol yea my car sucks in stop and go traffic, i have no idea why
i wish it would just ****** run right for once

well i went to home depot and finally bought the s*** to do a boost leak test, and the ******* CEL comes back on lol so i know its a vac leak and not a bad MAF
everything will be fixed by tomm!!!

minus the high idle and weird fluctuating AFR at cruise speeds lol this car has too many problems :(
edit: and to add to it, i need new rear pads, so i have to go buy some cheapo's tomm. so i can order some good ones off of PG

If its acting funny in stop and go, gotta be a leak. When I had my bpv hooked up wrong, it was hell at parking lot speeds.

yea but it only happens when its been idling for a while..which is weird
so that made me think it had something to do with the engine temp or something

idk hopefully this leak tester shows me something, im sure i have a few leaks here and there from my crappy welding haha

i got those taxi cab beads on my seat, so the rumble makes for a nice body massage haha

and all this talk of boosted cars having zero reliability is making me think twice =[ and im almost there!

Simon just doesn't know how to build a motor LOL

All my problems have been Mazda failures, non of them have been caused by boost.

lol ok, none of my problems have been from the motor, its been from s*** leaking
IE: Oil leak, Boost leak, Coolant leak

thats whats caused ALL of my problems, except the timing belt, that was my bad haha

i made a boost leak tester today, filled the compressor up to 20psi and hooked it up to the tester, all i heard was air, a hugggggeee leak on one of my welds and another huge leak on the PCV vac lines
i broke the pcv plastic T thing a while back so i ghetto fabbed my own, turns out a shitload of air was leaking from it, so i just took some vac line and blocked off the PCV completely
i used this stuff called liquid PVC cement, works awesome
put it over all of my welds, let dry and then put a second coat, its like clear liquid that hardens
now all of my leaks are gone, except one small leak at my TB, prob because there is no gasket in there, just silicone lol

oh and i put in my new boostsciences boost controller and took off my turbosmart boost T
lets see if that actually makes a difference or not

lol im going to, im about to order one online from onlinemazdaparts and pick it up when i get back to charlotte
at least i know whats wrong now haha

...you did all this big work...and didnt get gaskets...or fix the pcv....and NO filter on your turbo for how long....shhhammmeeee on you

+1, mate. I really like your P5 and it's awesome you do all your work yourself, but come on, you gotta buy some decent parts when simple stuff breaks, not just patch it up. I bet your motor and car would be strong and reliable if you just addressed all the problems properly. But still, glad to hear you've got some of the problems fixed.

LOL i ran out of money :(

but i got some funds back now so im goin to be doin everything right again, and im about to get a job somewhere so i can get some cash flow goin again

i actually thought the gasket set i bought came with a TB gasket but it didnt..soo i had to use RTV lol rtv bit me in the ass both times i used it, im not goin to rely on that anymore

Ok so i just tried to change the rear pads out and i couldnt get the ****** caliper off of the rotor
there was a lip wore into the rotor and it wouldnt let me get the dam thing off
so anybody know how i would go about getting the caliper off? i was pounding on it for about an hour and a half and it didnt do s***

...what...the...****!
i was looking all around for something to loosen and there wasnt anything that i could see
where is it at on the caliper?

edit: we are talking about the rear calipers right?
