2014 Mazda CX-5 AWD Auto Touring w/Bose and Moonroof pkg
Hi all,
Glad to be part of the forum! We just purchased a 2014 CX-5 yesterday. It's coming in from Columbus, OH...about 2 1/2 hours away so we are taking delivery on Monday.

Here are the main specs...

AWD Auto Touring pkg
2.5L engine with Skyactiv
Sky Blue exterior, black cloth interior
Bose and Tech package
Moon roof

We went back and forth between this and the CR-V. It was a hard decision. The CR-V was a little roomier and seemed to have a little more power. The CX-5, however is sportier and much more fun to drive! Really like the dual transmission mode and the blind spot warning. The only thing that almost was the deal breaker was the hump in the floor in the 2nd row. (The CRV did not have that). In the end the CX-5 was more to our liking.

We bought the extended warranty so it's bumper to bumper for 6 years/100,000 miles.

The last new vehicle we purchased was a Chevy Venture way back in '99. I own an 84 Monte Carlo SS and my son owns a 91 Saturn. This in effect is our first true foreign car.

Looking forward to browsing the forums.

Congrats on the new CX5. You will love that transmission. It makes me drive in a more relaxed state because it has that direct feeling connection between the engine and road just like a manual. the engine will really come alive after it breaks in. the CRV may have felt peppier because the throttle was more sensitive. This is a trick that auto manufacturers use to make you think that the engine is more powerful than it actually is. In reality the 2.5 CX5 is almost a second faster to 60 than the CRV and still gets better gas mileage. In the northeast those old cars you have would never last due to the enormous amounts of salt this state uses from October till April.

Picked it up this afternoon and put about 100 miles on it. LOVE IT!!

Congratulations on the car. I bought the same model except in white 2 months ago.

Oh and fyi... once I hit around 1,500 - 2,000 miles, the performance drastically increased.
