I just installed a pair of Pioneer 3 way 6x8s I got real cheap because of an "open box" discount
Not really the pair I was after but definetly satisfied with the outcome, very clear high and mids, and the bass is much smoother than with the stock speakers.
I don't want to invest a lot of money in completing my system, so I'm not sure what direction to take. I'd like to put some blaupunkt PCxt693 6x9s in the back, they seem like good bang for the buck. Any one have experience with them?
Also, I'd like more power, but I don't really want to bow 300$ on a 4 channel amp, so I'm considering powering up one pair of speakers with a 2 channel amp and leaving the other on stock HU power. I'm kinda torn between what pair I should hook up... Logic would dictate that the 6x9s have the potential to give me more bass because they are bigger and aren't as confined as the 6x8s are in the doors, but they seem to be in a bad location to get good highs & mids in the direction of the front passengers.... What to do?
Finally, what's the best budget amp out there? I was looking at the lightning audio bolt series, and some entry level pionner / kenwood stuff, orion... any recommendations?
Thanks
