Just installed COBB SRI and FORGE BPV- WOW!!!

Is there any point to replacing the stock BPV besides sound?

Stupid noob question, but what is the difference between the BOV and the Bypass Valve? I haven't had a turbo system with both...I'm assuming they're not the same thing LOL. Sorry for the dumb question.

BOV technically vents the extra air to atmosphere, the Bypass Valve puts it back into the Intake system, like stock

hahaha, I saw your little comment on the Trey Cobb youtube interview as well. Are you just a really big CP-e fanboy or whats the deal? All you do is smash on Cobb products.

Installed my Forge bpv tonight. No ching or swords clanging noises whatsoever (yippy), a bit loud for my taste but did immediately notice smoother drivability on the test drive. Blue spring w/2 shims

I tell people this about the Forge BPV and how much smoother the car drives. For the money it's a no brainer.

No swords or mario one up noise?? I've only heard the forge on a MS6 and you could hear that a ways away. The only reason I havent bought it yet was because of how loud it is. I wonder if it has to do with the springs and shims.

No and I was pleasantly surprised! It's loud when you're into the boost and chop the throttle, but otherwise you wouldn't know it was there (by the sound)

im not sure how ure forge isnt making the swords noise .. because mine sure is .. are you running stock intake ? if so that might be why you dont hear it .. but with my COBB SRI and the FORGE bpv .. its clearly a swords noise and its loud as hell lol

I have an MS CAI so I'm sure that's why it's loud, but can't explain why the sound is different. I do recall TruBoost saying his Forge didn't make the ching noise either. I'm running more boost if that would matter. Maybe Patty from Forge can chime in and answer this?

wow thanks! i was looking into doing this exact combo!

at first i was thinking about the cpe CAI and the turbosmart dualport BOV...but thats double the money!
