Welcome, nice P5, I love the ones without the roof-rack.

i kno huh, i thought they all came with a roof rack, until i saw this one....im probably keeping it stock for the winter, after that im going to start adding my own touch to it....any suggestions and what i should do to it first?

Welcome!

As for what mods to do? I'm going to say that 99% here will tell ya suspension but the more important question is what is most important to you?

prob get new rims since mine are kinda scratched up after the winter....get some hids, lower it a bit....best mod though....get a girl as an accessory haha

2 questions, any1 here have experience putting one of those fold away tv's that pop out of the dash in the p5 (i have an extra one) but the p5 has a huge radio, dunno if they make mounts for a small radio unit.....and how much does it cost to get the car lowered?

They have mounting kits that will put a small pocket in the second DIN location or you can get an MSP pocket with is bigger and has a door. Springs depend on how low you want to go. Check out the spring guide:

Yes, a few easy and dirt cheap mods...
- Paint the rear valence black
- Home Depot (or Lowes) DIY front lip
- Black out the headlights

All of this can be done for under $20 total.

Hi, Im new too, i really like your car without the roof rack, good luck with the car!

Hello everyone,

I am new here as well, and I intend to get a Protege5 as well.

Just like OP, i am 20 and looking for my first car. A question to the OP: how did you manage to buy the car if you didn't know how to drive standard? As in how did you manage to test drive it and make sure it's problem-free?

I am asking because I don't know how to drive standard either and would like to buy a standard car too. I figure I would be able to learn if given the opportunity, but it's like a chicken or the egg thing...
