I really want to get a good way of it done! Problem is, it's not my camera to be messing with.... if it falls...uh oh! :p I'm not really sure it'd pass tech at buttonwillow, though.

Probably not. But, if you can schmooze them into letting it go, that would be sweet.

Hope to see you there, Charles.

hey steph, what kind of helmet do i need?

I would think a snell 95 or better atleast (these are higher standards than just a DOT helmet)

I got mine off eaby and was quite pleased with the whole process, as i was dreading the fact it wouldn't fit just right. (you really should try them on before buying...) but it fit perfect and it's eye glasses friendly too.

Anyway, this may just be enough advance notice to make it this time...I'll mark my calender, but things can change....

BTW, how to we know when we have 5 or more ppl?

They probably follow the same rules of SCCA AutoX.... but you can rent them for $10 at buttonwillow, no problem. Interestingly, I got by with a DOT rated (M90?) when I was at the NASA WSIR event.. but now that I know my size (go to a motorcycle store and try them on :D ) I'll buy one off ebay sometime. :) I think you can just assume we have 5 people. ;)

P.S. 1st gen 4eva :)

I realized, I should have linked you here!

There's a lot on my video camera that I see I need to work on. Wish I had ran it at Willow Springs on the 24th, too, oh well. Didn't have time to work out the bugs for that one.

I cannot run this time.. funds limited. But I will try to make it down with OG Sk8ter. I'l maybe even bring a DV camera and get some footage.

what happens during the Performance Driving Clinic?

I mean, what are the events?
From the webpage, I see the following:

-Controlled stopping and cornering techniques
-Skid recovery
-Skid pad exercises emphasising car control and braking skills

What does that equate to in terms of track time?

I can't go during the July session, but I'm going to ask my wife if I can get the December session for my birthday present.

:)

I have friends down here in SoCal and up north that would also like to go to the December session. Can I set up a group myself?

I would like to get more information so I can market it out to my friends...has anybody here gone before? thanks.

im going to the Dec track day as well. Group is the same.

I have gone to many of theese, and now I am hooked. You get so much track time throught the day. All info is on first post .
