Where'd ya find that? I've been wanting to do that mod for a long time.

Ridiculously cheap parts 'cause you pull them yourself! This was the last MPV any of the 4 local yards had though. Cleveland East had 2 earlier this week, but they got rid of one mid week. The cars are only on the yard for so long, then they scrap them to get another car in. I'm going to keep my eye open for more though...

Hmm...Memphis Pull A Part has a '00 MPV in stock. I know some people in Memphis, wonder if they could pull and ship the switch?? hehe

Sorry I couldn't bum a ride with you guys and pay for lunch. ;)

Everything looks good though, Josh. Are you happy with the HID's now?

Sure! Once we figured out that we had the clips switched on the ballasts and they started working right. lol

I don't even think they blind people either. Driving last night, they didn't seem to go up any higher than the stock bulbs did. I checked the aim against the garage, and they were in the same spot as before.

This dumbass guy......

I'm finally getting around to wanting to install my leftover audio equipment, before now, I just didn't feel like it. lol But, I've got this to deal with...

Worst freaking spot to try and put tweeters. They look alright here, but they don't fit for s***, and now I can't even replace them because there's a 2" hole there. Unless I get another component set with the same size tweeter, but you wouldn't believe how hard it is to research!!

I could use these, but the moron doesn't have the crossover to the set, it's just 2 tweeters and 2 6.5's. I thought maybe I missed it mounted in the door somewhere, but then I remembered he had 2 sets of speaker wires ran into the door, which leads me to believe he had them amped separately instead of using the crossover PROVIDED in the component set.

So, I'm thinking of buying a new component set and just using these tweeters instead of the tweeters provided in the set. Anyone see any problems with this? As for the rest of the setup, I'm going to run the component set off the radio, use the 6.5's that are in the front doors now for the rear doors (stock speakers in there still) amp those with my 4 channel, and amp my sub off the other channel(s). I just need a new box, bigger one. I was worried about it not sounding good, the bass I mean, because it's a slim mount sub, but I had it choked down in a small truck box, so it always sounded weird. I think in a bigger box, and in a hatchback/wagon, it should slam! I don't listen to rap that much anyway, but it's still nice every now and then on nice days, rolling through the ghetto! haha

It's only going to be a single 12" sub, so I'm just going to take it in and out when I/we need to take the dogs somewhere. It DOES need to be semi-small so as to not take away too much trunk space though, for groceries and trips to sam's club and whatnot. lol

I think I'm going with the smaller of the 2 here. The one on the left is $40 shipped, and gives me .75 cu ft if airspace. On the right, $45 shipped and 1.15 cu ft. The "regular" version of my sub calls for 1 cu ft of airspace, so .75 should be fine for the slim version I have. Plus, we'll stuff it with cotton filling again and that should make up for any shortcomings.

You shouldn't have any issues running the factory tweeters. The amount of raw power they actually see is minuscule. Those doors should have a crossover built in to the factory wiring. It's really just a cap, but should work well enough.

Yeah... but effective. Haha. An aftermarket crossover with the full kit will work fine too.

I just didn't know if I can mix and match brands like that. Like, say a Rockford Fosgate component set, but instead of using the Rockford tweeters, just use these Polk's.

Or maybe I can mount the new tweeters in that little triangle piece, and just leave the Polk's in there as dummy's.

The PO might have had the crossovers in the hatch, that's what I did. But it is pretty asinine to not give you those..

Yeah, you can mix and match. It's not ideal, but it won't hurt anything. The crossover box only sees it as an impedance.

I didn't know you were looking for a sub. I just traded my 10" Alpine Type-R to Evan. The only thing is the box is pretty huge, but the sub definitely puts out for a 10".

And I'm keeping it for the Milly, bitches. lulz

Josh, if you need to build a box we can do it here at my work. We've got lot's of saws and s***. And we've got some left over 1/4" plexiglass too.

So wait....speakers and tweeters in the front doors, but the crossovers all the way back in the hatch??

I wasn't looking for a sub. I have a 12 already, I was just kicking around the idea of a bigger, better 12, but it's not financially smart right now. lol

Nah. By the time I bought MDF and carpet, it's cheaper to just buy one. Definitely not worth my time either. This is the one I'll probably get...

Can't go wrong for $40 shipped.

I got you now. Teh readings own me again..

Edit: I guess I didn't mention it was a sub, box and amp all together already
