I finally got my Joe's X=something or other-MBC installed.
I had to cut the stock wastegate hose because that piece-o-s*** stock line was so dry, brittle, and CRACKED it would not fit around the 3/16 MBC connector. Every attempt to push the line down onto the 3/16 fitting of the MBC result in more of the line cracking apart.
I ended up having to buy a 1/8 to 3/16 fitting for 1.69$ at Orileys. I had to then take the 1/8 side stick it into the stock wastegate hose and then cut a short length of 3/16 hose to run from the 3/16 end of the fitting to the wastegate side of the MBC.
Anyway it was a pain in the ass to get done.
But now I am running 9.9 to 10 lbs of boost according to my AUTOMETER 2310 boost gauge. It only holds that pressure for a couple of seconds though usually it just hovers around 5-8lbs. Joe is right stock it was topping out at 5lbs! What a crock of s*** Where was my 6.9lbs of boost? Not there that's where A.W.-*******-O.L.
BTW Joe's turn it down until you can barely blow through it method of initial adjustment worked for me. It was almost 10lbs on the nose.
Pics to follow...
Props to Albert for making a .doc of the other guy's (who gets props to) superb MBC install writeup.
