are they worth the money? i know everything that they do, but does it really justify the cost? im thinking about getting some in the future, but i just cant make up my mind

If you can talk Eggynatey into letting you drive his car that will help you decide. I sold him mine, I loved them but there is a ride compromise with the JICs and Vegas roads with all the construction is hell o suspension. Once you have the JICs and a rear sway, you can literally push the car as far as your tires will let you. I ruined a set of AVS ES-100's in just short of 5 months because I loved taking corners with them. I literally chewed the tread blocks of the edges. They are great it is just all in what you want for your car. I would say all out race JIC all the way great for Auto X and driving enthuastist. High perf, Stock MSP suspension, Average driving stick with the stockies and lower the car a inch. This is just from my experiance with this car. I would also like to see how these cars act with the Tein coilovers without pillow balls. That also might fit into a whole new category comfort/performance level.

Me too, Jimmy. But that's the rebound that is adjustable.

Roy, come take my P5 for a drive. Then you can make an educated decision :)
I can tell you that I've gotten used to the stiffer ride, and I wouldn't trade my JICs for any other suspension set-up.

Thanks again Dave!

The adjustments in the dampners on the JIC coilovers are very small and only really be felt in performance not so much in ride quality, but they are 15 way adjustable dampners. When you move the coilovers up and down ajusting ride height you can feel a difference in comfort. If you put them to high believe me you will know it. Anyways good luck. Your welcome again Nate :D

I think he was having a sale...1600 installed.

(don't quote me on that, though;))

I like mine.. yes the ride is not the great.. but i'm a freeway driver
mostly so I don't feel as much. Now on residential roads thats a
whole different story. But if you want to feel how it feels like. Find
an EVO owner and take a ride. Its almost the same, just a little more
smoother on JIC's.

Hope that helps.

how do the ride on jic's compared to springs? are they stiffer?

JIC's are much stiffer than Eibach springs. Like night and day
difference. Eibachs are a much better ride especially if the car
is your daily driver. But for me, I autox with my car so I have
to make that sacrifice. I've gotten used to the hard ride so its
all good now.

We will be coming out with an even more reputable coilover for the protege 3rd gen. I will also have it engineered to be more streetable and quiet as we will utilize a bushing in the rear upper mount.

I'll keep you all posted. I hope to get a prototype set pretty soon.

THanks, Rishie

Do the JIC's make any noise? Any clicking, popping, or anything like that? And how would you compare them to the MSPs stock set up? Do the JIC's perform a lot better?

The JIC's perform way better. There's no comparison. Apples to oranges. The comparing factor would be ride quality.
