Just got one, for CX5, completed online. All across I had no issues but to give highest ratings except of course for my pet peeves: (a) lack of integrated traffic (b) some interior features missing which are present at the same price point in other competitor cars. (c) horrendous fuel economy. Same route, timings was getting combined 27 / 28 mpg and now getting 21 mpg with 5200 on ODO and oil changed at dealership. Slowly but surely getting lower and lower.

Never received any surveys. May be I'm not an important person and nobody cares to listen. ;)

Don't know how detail you needed to provide for lack of some interior features available from other competitors. Hopefully you could have a chance to mention memory seat and rear AC vents. Or even lack of sound-deadening materior.

I do agree all things you'd mentioned for the survey. But be prepared some people would not agree with you and start defending...

There was an interesting article regarding the JD Power reliability ratings over on Autoblog. Apparently JD Power gives the same weight to Bluetooth connectivity issues as it does to say transmission/engine issues so a very reliable vehicle could get poor ratings just because their Bluetooth doesn't work well.

I did receive a survey few months ago for our Mazda 3. I think it was about the dealership experience and also (initial) quality of the vehicle.
When JD Power publish their long-term industry wide results, they do it with number of problems / 100 vehicles. There, they do count every problem equally.
However, if you go to a specific model: http://www.jdpower.com/cars/mazda/cx-5/2015 (click JD Power ratings), they break it down for you.
