Shopping for an autocross car but dont know much about mazdas...
Unfortunately, I'm going back to school and need to sell my 1990 Miata. I was planning on turning it into a weekend autocrosser, but I haven't had the time or money to do it.
- It's a white 5-speed with 117k miles, a new black top (over $800 installed) and a spotless black interior. It even has the original vinyl cover that hides the top when it is down.
- I bought it last year from my old roommate when he needed money for a down payment on a house. Now, I only drive it once or twice a week and it just sits in the garage.
- It runs strong and the A/C blows ice cold. No leaks or other issues whatsoever. It was resprayed in the original white paint about 2 years ago, so it still looks great. I've even had a few people compliment me on how clean it is.
- My roommate put on lightweight (12.6 lbs per wheel) Kosei K1 TS wheels sized 15" x 7" with Kumho tires. The tires are in great shape and have about 80% tread left.
- He also installed a carbon fiber intake that takes in air just in front of the windshield, under the hood. The company that sells it claims on their site that it will give you around 5hp, which is quite a bit on a 1.6 litre engine. It also has slotted front rotors.
I've got all the records since I've owned it. It's never been in an accident as far as I can tell. All the body panels have an original VIN sticker on them. It was bought new in Austin back in 1990, so I believe it's been a TX car all it's life. No Rust.
It's a very solid, original, untouched Miata with a great engine and tranny. It shifts smooth and precise. There is also an IPod jack wired into the stock radio.
I'm asking $4,750
