ok so i talked to my dealer and they want $338.00 for the intake and $180.00 to install it, is this a good price? thanks!

It seems like the average people are paying the MS intake for the speed3 is $300.00 to $310.00 from what i've seen on this site. I paid $310.00 for mine and did the install in a little over an hour. My dealer wanted full retail which is $399.99, and wouldn't price match anyone.

thanks for the replys yall, i have installed a few intakes on trucks but never on a car. what all is involved in the instalation? do i ahve to take the front bumper off?

Nope, front bumper stays on, but you do have to take off the lining where the drivers side tire is and the plastic skid plate in the front of the car.

Ok so i take its pretty staright forward then, can mazda deny warrenty work if they dont install it cause thats the hole reason im tryin to stick with mazda products.

Ok so today i went to my dealer and they told me that if i dont pay them $180.00 to install it they will void my warrenty. So it looks like i wont be doing the install after all. I wouldnt be so worried about it but with my truck its such a PITA to get anything warrentied on it after what i have done to it lol

bulls***. They're just trying to get you to pay them to install it.
Just find another place to buy the CAI from and you can install it yourself.

IT WILL STILL BE UNDER THE WARRANTY. As long as it works fine and no leaks and problems, they can't void the warranty.

LOL, silly stealership...........

Like i posted before it's a "green" install and the dealership can look it up if they like, this info comes straight for Mazda. Don't let them charge you that kind of money because they want to be dicks.

Hey do you know what turbo's are in these cars and what they peak boost stock...i dont have a bosst guage yet lol

they use a weird hybrid turbos... if i recall correctly, its hitachi housings, with borg warner internals... Its so similar to a Borg Warner K04 turbo, that thats what they call it anyways...

MS CAI 300.00 shipped from showcase Mazda in Arizona. Just called them. There is a national backorder until like July or so.
