07speed3 said:thanks for the replys yall, i have installed a few intakes on trucks but never on a car. what all is involved in the instalation? do i ahve to take the front bumper off?
civic si hb said:Nope, front bumper stays on, but you do have to take off the lining where the drivers side tire is and the plastic skid plate in the front of the car.
07speed3 said:Ok so i take its pretty staright forward then, can mazda deny warrenty work if they dont install it cause thats the hole reason im tryin to stick with mazda products.
07speed3 said:Ok so today i went to my dealer and they told me that if i dont pay them $180.00 to install it they will void my warrenty. So it looks like i wont be doing the install after all.
BlackJack said:bulls***. They're just trying to get you to pay them to install it.
Just find another place to buy the CAI from and you can install it yourself.
IT WILL STILL BE UNDER THE WARRANTY. As long as it works fine and no leaks and problems, they can't void the warranty.
07speed3 said:ya thats what i figured, ill just buy it from them and they will deal with it lol thats rediculas they told me it would take almost 3 hours to install!
civic si hb said:LOL, silly stealership...........
Like i posted before it's a "green" install and the dealership can look it up if they like, this info comes straight for Mazda. Don't let them charge you that kind of money because they want to be dicks.
