Back six months ago (before I left for work) I put my car in the body shop for some work. I disassembled as much as I could to save some money. The car didn't get done before I left so it sat in the garage for five months. Fast forward to last week when I got home. Got everything put together except for the passenger side marker light. I could not find the darn thing, looked all over the garage, in the attic, in the bedroom. No trace of it, as though it up and left. So I ordered a new one from Montgomery Mazda.
Today I replaced the fuel filter on my gf's '99. When I was done I looked for her maintenance log to make an entry (typically it wasn't where it normally is, and settle down ladies, that is how it is!). Pulled stuff out of the glovebox, lo and behold there was the side marker light! I confronted my gf and she had absolutely no clue how it got in there. Personally I think she is trying to drive me nuts, so I have a heart attack, then she gets the insurance money and the house. Oh wait, maybe not because she would also get my kids! Anyway, a word of advice to all. When you think you have looked everywhere, you haven't. And, the place where there is no way something could be there is where it will be (I know, kind of awkward but you get the idea).
