Is mazdaspeed protege the exact same model as Ford Lynx RS 2.0?

Having a hard time finding detailed info on my phone, but it seems to be a 3rd gen protege dressed up in a ford suit. Motor looks like a FS and it has the same layout under the hood. I didn't see a turbo though so no to the MSP
