Ira in Danvers

Anybody have any dealing with Ira Mazda in Danvers?

I'm in the process of buying a car from them. I've dealt with Wellesley, 128 and Tallarico (Manchester NH) as well.

Are you happy with the experience?

What are you buying from them?

Thanx, Glenn |B)

I bought a Mazda5 from them last weekend. My sales guy was great and I would definitely do business with him again. That said, there are a couple of points to mention:

1. I have no experience with their service department

2. They low-balled my trade-in, so I decided to sell privately, no big deal since I'll probably double my money

3. The sales guy and his manager gave me conflicting information about having a remote start installed. One said it was a factory installed item and I should just get one after market for $199. The other said that I should just buy the car now and then come back and have it installed. All this after I told them I was in no rush and would wait for a factory order if necessary. They countered with a) prices will go up and b) there is a problem with remote starts and they're not installing any at this time. Whatever, I ended up getting the car w/o remote start, but I'm not 100% happy.

4. Through work, we qualify for S-Plan pricing, which is the same as Edmunds.com invoice pricing. They gave my invoice but tacked on fees for "Boston area" and because the car was not in inventory (they had to get it from another dealer). Unfortunately we didn't have much information on the S-Plan so I had to take the dealer's word. I don't mind paying a fair price but I would appreciate if things were a little more transparent. In the end, I didn't even have to prove that I worked for the qualified employer, so I would recommend to anyone that they demand S-Plan pricing.

As far as car purchasing experiences go, I rated this a 5 out of 5 for the sales person and 4 out of 5 for the dealership. The vehicle gets 6 out of 5 (headbang) (headbang) (headbang)

I baught my Speed3 from IRA a few days ago, I was really happy with the service, it took a while for them to call me, but it really wasnt there fault. anyhow overall I give IRA a 8.5. good dealership and the first I've seen with more than one MS3 on the lot that is'nt already sold. (4 to be exact), since this thread is months old, I just figure i'd deposit my $.02

Did you take the dealer financing option? If you didn't get a good rate, refinance now with DCU. You'll have to donate $5 to a charity to become a member but if you sign up for a checking/savings account you can get an outstanding rate even if they consider your car "used" as far as the loan goes. I'm saving almost $50/month because I refinanced immediately after purchasing my MS6. If you do that math, that almost $3000!

I'm in the military so I financed through a military bank, but that sounds like a nice little chunk of change to be saved, or spent on goodies underneath the hood. :)

i bought my mazda 3 from ira in danvers, the sales guy was really nice, i didn't really like the girl who did all the paperwork though, she was a little rude and snappy, it was also pretty late at night though.

this was my first experience buying a car from any sort of dealership and i would say it was a good experience, i was psyched that they had the car i wanted on the lot and was able to drive it home that night.

my sales guy walked me through all the paperwork and stuff, i wish i was able to get a better price but besides that and the cranky woman... 5 of 5 for Joe? (i think that was his name), 4 of 5 for dealership, and i was there the other day about aftermarket parts and the service manager i spoke with was okay too, 4 of 5.

the part of the whole process that pretty much made me decide to get the car that night was i wasn't pressured at all to buy the car that day or anything to that effect which i really appreciated because it made me a lot less stressed out about the whole situation.

:-)

I had good sales experience at Ira where I got my 8 from (although not when I test drove an MS3 last time around, the sales guy was pushy), and typically had good experience with the service, but when it comes to anything non-typical, the service starts going down. The service manager likes to preempt any warranty work before I'm even done talking about it.

New guy here from Southie (anyone in the area?) .... I know this thread is relatively old but found it quite interesting... I went to Galleria in Norwood. Awful experience. Told me my red MS3 would arrive in a week a month later they called and said it arrived by that time I moved on to liberty. I told them I wanted to work out the monthly $'s and I'd be back tomorrow to put money down. They refused and asked me to leave. Too bad I went to Sentry West Mazda in Shrewsbury, MA the next day and bought my Red MS3 from a guy named Derek. He's the man. Former tuner guy. I knew it was the right salesman when I took the car for a spin and he said "You wanna go around again?"

Hey I know there's the whole salesman thing going on but please well at least that's one guys opinion

Southie.... That makes 3 speed6's in the area.

Bought my Speed at Ira. Havent serviced it there but I had a good experience with my sales guy. He was good.

And I just noticed this thread is 1.5 years old
