do you have sirius?

When you push MEDIA does the HU LCD switch to media mode or does it not switch from the current setting?

it doesnt switch from it's current setting

If it's not switching then it's likely that the ACI isn't actually plugged into the back of the HU. It's possible that the previous owner had sirius and it never got plugged back in. I suggest you pull the HU and see if it's plugged in, and if not plug it back in and try again. It's likely either tucked behind a panel or tied off to another harness to keep from rattling.

No it's really easy... should take less than five minutes.

-open the glove box
- grab the dash trim at the left side of the glove box and pull back to release the three clips to the right of the LCD
-gently bend the strip to slide the hook out of the far right side (don't pull straight back on the far right)
-pop the clip to the left of the LCD loose
-unscrew two screws holding HU
-grab HU and pull towards back of car to release the tension clips holding it... don't grab the face plate as it could come off. Be careful to not let the "cage" scratch against the sides of the center console while you're unplugging stuff.
