Interesting rotary facts

Mazda tested a hydrogen miata many years ago:

And it was a rotary. They say "standard reciprocating engine is prone to pre-detonation and backfiring" due to hydrogen's low ignition temperature. But a rotary in theory should have a "colder" intake chamber than the ignition one.

Also, how would you like a rotary powered laptop?

What would you use that TINY one for?

I figure you could use that for a watch or something.
The basic idea is that combustible fuels have 10x the power density of batteries. So you could have a 9V battery running on a mini-combustion engine to a tiny generator, which would last 10x as long as a regular battery. The biggest problem scientists are having right now is fitting a start key on the battery.

Interesting stuff...I once saw a micro jet engine on TLC or something...I believe it was the size of a penny. It had ports for fuel, air and exhaust with a turbine in the center. The whole device was square shaped like the one above.

Cool stuff...I want one!

They are developing the micro engines for things like tiny spy aircraft I believe.
