Intake manifold

the non-European intake manifolds does NOT have VICS... and on *some* models they MAY have VTCS, that's it

WTF so ive had a single stage intake manifold the whole time, WEll no more.
Some models have VTCS you mean cali emisoins. So the europeian model gets VICS and 9.5:1 compression but no extra power, WTF crappy tunning.

I intend to pick one up in europe when I go.

Our power numbers are dead on we dyno at 88 hp which with a 20% drive train loss gives us 105.6 hp (cali emisions). Several of us have gotten dynoed my self included.

Im going to recheck with the EDM guys but IIR they were making the same, Ill ask for a/f just incase it is tunning. I assume the VICS should leave a noticable double hump.

tstargermany has a 1.6... ask him for better pics of that intake manifold
Hmm are EDM power numbers to the wheels? I saw a dyno and it was making the claimed power, WTF. The EDMs are getting 72 kw (96hp) (claimed) vs our 88 hp to the wheels.

I have a pic of TStar manifold Ive asked him for a better one though. ITs deff diffrent, and it sits alot lower like the 2.0.

Ive also found a pick of the 1.5l manifold. This is very interesting.

It looks almost exactly like ours but where we have plugs on the left side, this one gets a tube. Any idea what the tube is for? The ZL-VE also has this tube.

So even if we 1.6 guys happen to get our hands on the European IMs that don't have the VICS, we won't get a bump in HP? How would we be able to determine which IMs come with the VICS and which come without?

The short ones have VICS, VICS good we dont have it.

Should be easy enough to control prob just a small 12V solnoid. Ill check it out, a stand alone should be very easy to build.

Be sure to keep me updated then. With both this IM and the standalone when/if you start it.
