Intake Bolt-On

k, guys, well, we have a retarded law in hawaii called RECONSTRUCTION or "RECON". if u do ANY mod to your car, it has to pass a second safety check i guess. well anyway, those with just filters or the SRI, does the intake rattle? when u go to recon to get under your hood checked, they grab your intake and start shaking the s*** out of it to make sure it is bolted down good. if not, u fail. so can anyone enlighten me? i can tell by the CAI that there would be no problem with rattling... hmm? - chris

Rattle Nope, it bolts down almost the same as the CAI. Same clamps on the pipes, plus a bracket or two (really only needs one) to attach anywhere.

So if installed right shouldn't rattle at all, least anymore than anyother intake system.

Pretty sure some people from the PRO5 club in Hawaii have intakes so if they have them it couldn't be a problem.

I have the AEM sri and it's pretty well bolted down. it has brackets that are welded to the piping as opposed to the ebay sri that has brackets that bolt to the clamps.

Here's the bracket on an Ebay(OBX) SRI. It really holds 'em in place!

you can buy that at the hardware store...lumber store..its a "L Bracket" or a "shelve bracket"
