indiglo gauges installation HELP ME!!!

I got everything ready now, just got to get the courage to install these things on. But before I try, I read on some forum that the needles have to be pointing the 60 km/hr....how do I move the needles?

Thanks!

one guy posted how he did it,
he said something along the lines of taking a photo of you car warmed up.
blowing it up, and then removing the gauges while the car is running, and lay the overlays and then put the needle on where it was before.

i guess the default location is less than the minimal point so your values will be off.

hope this helps.

super super caution with the needles people, especially the smaller ones (ie. tach and fuel). A few of us have the reverse gauges installed - they fit over the needles and still people have horror stories of the needles breaking with the slightest pressure. Good luck!

very nice!
too bad we have to cut them but they look great and very visible i might add.

great tutorial but i dont have those ones!!!! and mine already have the low fuel light and all the idiot lights cut out..... now my question.... if anybody is still awake i am taking pics of the back of mine ..... i just need to know what i can cut!

Hmmm, well here's my conclusion. Take it for what its worth, but i don't want to be responsible for messing anything up. So i'm just going to provide a theory.
If the whole thing lights up, then it shouldn't matter where you cut because you aren't completely severing the indiglo material from the electrical connection, SO it will still light up. If you read the other thread, you'd have noticed that the reason that we had issues deciding where to cut was that the indiglo material would be completely severed from its source, therefore not lighting up.
I would be very very careful with those, mostly because the holes look tiny to begin with.
Be sure you really want to do this. I ended up taking mine off because they shorted out more than they actually worked, and it was a pain in the ass to take out my cluster and plug things back in and get them working. DO NOT FORCE ANYTHING. If it feels like its going to break, it probably will.

ya i know...... i am going to do it probally tomorrow!!!! thanks for the advice..... maybe if i get bored soon i will do it tonight.. i dunno..... i will post pics as i go
