Those of you that got the hiboost fmic... could you give me your impressions on it before install, and after install? Looking for performance impressions.

yes i am interested in this too.

Also how long did you guys have to wait to receive it after placing the order. Its been over 2 weeks for me and i've still received no tracking number or the kit yet.

hiboost recieved a huge amount of orders at the same time so it taking them a bit longer..all said i thnk i waited 2 weeks for it to ship and 1 week for it while it was in transit...give or take a day or two

i noticed a difference. car pulled a lot smoother. that's with the HKS BOV supplied with the kit and a unflashed ECU. there's very little hesitation. one thing i like though is that the car is consistent and heatsoaks far less than the OEM setup. so run after run the car continues to perform the same where as with the OEM setup it ran great when cold but then tapered off in performance run after run.

Up top the car definatly pulls a lot harder with the HiBoost FMIC.

About the wait time, don't sweat it, it took me a little while to get mine, but Juan never kept me in the dark, I was always able to get a hold of him, be it by email or phone.

As you all know I posted quite a big write up:

After a few weeks, runs to the track, changes in weather...

IT IS WORTH THE MONEY. However, buy a GReddy Type-S w/19mm adapter and 2ft. of 19mm hose and ditch the HKS <- it sux.

Installed the kit again onto a buddies car. Same performance and such as on mine (install went in very smooth, no hiccups this time).

Two thumbs up. Car pulls like a MF'er. I should be around 215WHP. You can definitely feel it!

Where did you get your Type-S from? I have been looking for a good deal on one for a while.

Ebay NEW shipped for $175.00 total. Adapter from a place in Florida. Hose from Autozone.

I actually ordered the Type S kit from SPD racing that will allow it to recirculate. It wasn't much more than ordering the kit with the HKS bpv.

Does the type-s have turkey when recirculating? I've got mine venting to atmosphere right now. Sounds sweet, but stalling is an issue if i let the RPMs fall once above 3.5k or so.

I'm thinking about recirculating the Type-S... I need to run dedicated vaccum lines for the BOV and wastegate sometime soon. Right now it's just running off the stock line.

I'd like to get some input on those recirculating the type-S.

As far as before & after.... I LOVE IT. I was completely stock before. Installed Injen & FMIC at the same time. Sounds a lot better. Spool is LOUD, engine is deep...

As far as power, not much, but it will help when the boost is upped.

Recirculating, super turkey especially with dedicated lines - though, car sounds mean, and gobble gobble. If you recirculate, keep it at about 4-5 threads left <- will run much better.

Nice growl too.

I wonder if the Unichip will allow it to run without recirculating once it's tuned. A shop around here charges $50/hr to tune plus $50/hr for the dyno.
