I am looking at BCS for my 24 CX5. Did you upgrade to the swift springs with them? In cars of past, I have, just wondering what your experience all around has been on the BCS...?
I didn't see that swift springs would a benefit on our slightly lowered, Daily Driver. They look like they are good for much lower cars.
We have about 18k miles on the system. They have performed flawless.
They are a performance mod. If you are expecting to behave like oem soft ride, you maybe disappointed.
Bump stop is harsh. If one hits a BIG pot hole and it bottoms out it is a wake up call. I like this "feature" to wake up my wife to avoid rather than blindly run over potholes. We have a set of light weight spun forged wheels. Big pot holesight damage them.
It's louder. I believe the top of the oem front struts are cushioned with a plastic material. BS Racing is an aluminum on aluminum. It makes more noise than oem. But performs much better than OEM. Agai. A trade off for performance.
So if you want performance they deliver. We have them on 4 out of 20 stiffness for my wife. Steering is quick and precise. Coupled with larger sway bars with urethane sway bar bushings. It's a performance upgrade.
If we put the shocks say on 15 clicks it would be a handler.
The front struta are lighter. Unsprung weight is a big deal for quick maneuvers and braking. Same deal with lighter wheels.
I changed the front brake pads and rotors, drilled and slotted the first month we got it. Oem squealed and dusted. This helps stopping quicker and not as likely to warp. My partner rides the brakes and warps rotors. I decided to start with upgraded rotors this time..
I hope this helps.
