I think i may have the deal od a lifetime on FMIC!!!!

idk about that pipe bender the ic would flow better with manderal bends (smooth bends)

You really shouldn't need a bender just cut out the proper bends from 180deg bends they sell and either weld or use a hose to connect them

I wanted this to be a clean look and as little friction in the tube as possible. this way air flows steady and constant! Less turbulance! more gains! But if you all want a 3-400 dollar set up i can probably do both!!

I'd say try your ideas on your car first before you start selling your stuff. Make sure you can do it and have enough financial backing, enough time and enough devotion. You certainly do *not* want to be another HSM product.

(Since you probably don't know about HSM, search for "HSM" or "High Strung Motorsports")

im not selling i was see if there was interest, i have the finances, now i need the time, which i am setting up this week! I lready have the negotiations done for the intercooler and now onto the piping. I am using my car as the guinie pig of course and this will work. Its pretty hard to screw something up that has already been done. I know this from experience!!

I am not offering alot of extras no BOV No CAI, All o am offering is a FMIC replacement for now. and after i get my custome FMIC Kit done i will give it to board members for the same cost! Thats all!! going to bed talk to you all tomorrow!!!!

you will at least need a way to hook up the stock bpv if you dont use a BOV

Did you see that there was a $99 shipping fee on that pipe bender? I'm interested too, but I'm having a hard time getting some balls and tempting the keepers of the warranty.

Hey there, I'm interested, but I don't know much about ICs, so I talked to my WRX friend. He gave me this link, which says that tube & fin (which appears to be what's being used here) is better. Furthermore, the site also sells IC cores to be used in custom applications just like this. They have the same 21x9x3 size available for $289 or a 24x6x3 (which I think might be a better size & fit...also the same size Azian6er got) for only $229! I don't know what price you got for your IC core, but if these prices are better, than this might make the total cost of this setup even cheaper. :D Let me know what you all think.

awesome... just awesome... I can finally pick up a turbo back exhaust setup with a FMIC for under 2gs shipped... damn I love this board... now only if they bring out the pics n stuff I'll be able to finally move money out of this stinkin PayPal account...

Who would you guys suggest for a Turbo-Back Exhaust setup???? (Sorry for the threadjack!!!) but like everyone in this board knows that they need to change the stock exhaust n fmic to increase boost so might as well add to this thread!

Please do not jack his thread with turbo back comparisons. Please search for "turbo back", you'll get pages of results.

Black Magic, please send me this link where it says taht a tube and fin Ic is better then a bar and plate IC. I wanna find out why all the drag/rally/autox/road race guys need to switch to the tube and fin. :D

Hi I been here for about 3 weeks so far and have read and read and read. I really wanted a FMIC but 900 is waaaaayyyy to much for a couple of peices of metal. so i did some reseach and pulled in a few favors and i think i came up with the perfect solution.

who would be interested in a 650 dollar FMIC, Brand new.
What i will use for the intercooler
21"x9"x3"
Inlet Size: 2.5" o/d
Outlet Size: 2.5" o/d
End to End Length: 31"
This intercooler will flow over 800cfm and is capable of supporting more than 550hp! Polished to a mirror finish on all surfaces

All piping will be custom bent by a friend of mine and i will probably replicate a already manufactured kit. Why go through the R&D Twice!!!! this kit will replace all plastic pipes as well. SR and CAI i will leave to the professionals!!!

My questions to you all.

What grade of metal should i use/do you want?
and would atleast 10 of you be interested in this!

Im starting this tomorrow

yeah im a lil grumpy!! Been burning 300 CD for 2 days straight, Congrats on the FMIC Kit!!!

I just hate how people assume i am not going to prove myself before i sell it. I haven't taken any orders yet, i haven't even seta definete price yet. But i guess i have to deal with comments like this and that if i am going to be part of a community!!!

My Bad misunderstanding!!!

Thanks Black Majik MSP but my price is still lower and the IC is a tube and fin.

its just not as big as some of those but it still holds alot and it isn't just the core. Its ready to go just need to connect it!!!

Your price is lower than the same size IC or both? What do you think about the size...my thought was that the 24x6 would fit better than the 21x9. I'm really interested in this, so I was just curious about the details.
