I just got Fuc*ed

i take my car into the dealership today to have a look at a small problem, every thing els on the car was perfect, exept that i wanted new front breaks, so i get a call back saying that theres somthing wrong with my clutch and breaks. the clutch pedal wen u step in on it wouldnt engage till it was all the way to the floor (it was really soft) and so is the break pedal (almost felt as if they where loose), so i was really concernd seeing how it was fine b4 i took it in, so i went down to the dealership and was complaining that it was their falt, THEN!!! they showed me the bill to my front break pads, which is all i got done in the mean time, it was 330 dollers so then i was furious and ended up not paying for it. i then took my car to the lube shop i used to work at and i see my master cylynder is leaking. i dono how or why, but it happnd after i took my car in. i think they fuked my car up at the dealer ship

has any one els had any problems with their master cylinders, or am i just the first.

i know dont know what to do and i highly doubt the will replace my MC for free

How did you not pay for the brake job? Not that anyone should pay $330 for brake pads, but did you not ask before hand how much that would cost?

well i was ****** pised off and i dnt want to pay for it seeing how it was 330 just for front pads, and no they did not tell me that it was gonna be that much, if i would have known i would have told them to shove those ****** pads up their asses

The brakes and clutch share the same hydraulic system. There is definitely air in the system right now - but the dealer had no good reason to be anywhere near the master cylinder or bleed the lines to put on new front pads/rotors ... did they?

yes they put new front pads on thats wat the guys at my lube shop said, that there was air in the system, but where the brake fluid in, the gasket where it connets to the cylinder peice is leaking

Could just be a giant coincidence ... but it sounds suspicious. From your first post, it sounds like the dealership was acting like they didn't know what was going on with your car ... what else did they say?

ya ur right they dnt even know wat the damn problem was and then we found out it was leaking, they said come back tomrow and we will work somting out....im pisseed

Perhaps it's time to get in touch with Mazda Corporate. Unless the dealership is willing to set things right.

Any chance the brake fluid you are seeing around the master cylinder is from the caliper pistons being pushed back and overflowing the reservoir?

Get a master Cylinder and replace it..

maybe the dealer saw something you'd written and knew they could easily dupe someone who speaks so eloquintly online.

really sucks that the dealer screwed you around like that, but heres the solution.

1. buy master cylinder
2. buy racing brake fluid
3. buy 12 beers
4. find a friend who likes having brake fluid on them. The can bleed the line while you pump the pedal.
5. fix speed
6. eat meal to wear off beer, then go rip the speed.

This confirms why I haven't been to the dealer in years. I had the same problem with my clutch pedal when replacing my rotors...I got in for test drive and couldn't put it into gear...bled the clutch from the clutch line up front and everything went back to normal.

I make it sound like I did all this myself but no, I went to local shop but not just any. I looked for a garage where the owner has a Protege and in my case I found a super guy who has an award winning Protege show car!!

Yeah, it sounds like you got screwed around with, but there's not too much you can do about it but talk to dealership about it. If they don't do anything, go to Mazda corporate, if they don't do anything either get a lawyer or get a master cyl and replace it.
