I Need Some Help With A Offset Problem

Whats up I am a new member, with a Black MSP. (I love the site) About a year ago I had to replace the stock rims because of a bent rim. So I bought some motigi racing (stock size except with a +42 offset) and then the car was stored and I moved to Oregon from Georgia so now we are driving the car and realize that with pasengers in the back seat, the tires are rubbing on the lip of the rear wheel well when you go over dips and bumps in the road. HELP what can I do besides replacing the wheels.

well the offest is you primary problem there... stock 17" wheels run a +55 offset, and you really shouldnt ever run less than a + 45 if you dont want to rub.

You could try running a smaller tire, 215/35/17...

Well you can do what i did take out the spare tire and the 5 gallons of water i found under it out. Cuz my car never came with a jack so the spare tire don't do me any good lol. put 4 people in it and it will carve the rear tires kinda rounded so when you hit bumps it wont rub to much cuz the tire is already gone where it rubs. lol or get you fenders rolled.

my wheels are 7 wide and i run a +42 offset, i ran them with falken ziex 205 50 16 and they never rubbed even close, now withthe same size Fuzion ZRi, they rub like crazy and i had to raise the car because i'm too lazy to have the fenders rolled. if you roll your fenders you probably won't rub much.

I am lowered 2 inches and have 205/40 /17 on +40 offset 17X7.5 rims ,ever with the car full of luggage and 4 adults I dont rub at all . What is donig it is that you dont have the clearance for a 215 size tire . ,you maybe able to get the tires to clear by rolling the fenders and adding a st of camber bolts on the rear setting the camber to -1 degree the will give you some more clearance as well . that way you wont have to buy new tires .
