I was helping a friend and his apt.complex flooded. To keep my car from flooding I had to drive it through a deep puddle.... mazdaspeed CAI+ 12" of water = call geico. At least they replaced my engine, and the interior wasn't damaged. The question is...Do I keep my car, or trade it in? It drives just like before, and geico will honor my extended warranty, but I guess I just worry that it will have probelms down the road...

If all you did was drive througha puddle and sucked in water.. keep it.. if the car was floating down the road then ditch it.. did your interior get soaking wet?

No I pushed the car out of water before water got inside. I almost wish I had let it flood, Geico would have totalled it out.Instead they gave me an engine with 25k miles.

Does anyone know where I can find the engine serial number so I can make sure they replaced it with the correct engine? A 2.0 wouldnt have mounted up in my hatchback right? I am just convinced somehow geico must have screwed me. lol
