How to upload thumbnails???

I was wonder how some of you people are attaching thumbnails to your to your post instead of having to use the full size photo? I just figured out the art of uploading but now I would like to know how to attach my stuff as thumbnails instead. I think it would be a great help and I would have to waste some much space. Anyone who can walk me thru this process, I would appreciate the help.

when you reply to a thread, click on 'go advanced.' after you have typed what you want, scroll down to manage attachments. this is where you upload files as thumbnails. hope this helps some
