How to make my turbo sound noticable?

I think they did a great job with the existing exhaust. Call me silly, but it has just the right amount of "burble" @ idle, yet quiet once under way. This just adds further to the "low profile" of the entire car. It's very much similar to the base 3 in appearance, enough so that it flies under the police attention levels. I WANT all the 18 yr olds with wings and 20 lbs of stickers to get all the attention and tickets, while I cruise on by. This may be due to me being probably quite a bit older than most on here (40), low key but capable wins the day IMO.
Im with you on this one even though Im only 21 but I was 19 and had a 01 GT mustang let me tell you I was putting food on every cops table in my town......with tickets for tint, no front plate, no seatbelt, speeding, and doing idiotic stuff. Its not worth it, I got more money now
If you want more psssst after the intake or independently, the turbo xs 50/50 hybrid works really well. No driveablity issues AT ALL! 5 minute install, sounds great, better with an intake. In stock now with our sponsors (unlike waiting for cobb intakes and APs) and only for about $200.

I had to get a Garrett GT40R before I could hear my turbo.
Well, ok, you've got me there. You really aren't going to be able to hear the turbo.... but some kind of intake and/or vta will give you the sounds you want.

Intake and then BOV for sure... All the sound you need. My wife thought something was wrong with the car after the CAI intake.

Just make sure you don't upgrade the exhaust...it will drown out the intake/turbo noises...(lol2)
I agree.. The stock exhaust, as far as noise goes, is perfect. Enough to make me smile when I step on it, but not enough to annoy the crap out of me and everyone around me when I don't need/want to. And, imo, it has more of a deeper tone than most boy-racer exhausts. Even though I'm 19 and could qualify as a boy-racer, I still appreciate the sound.
Btw, your name is awesome. I smile everytime I open the fuel cover and see that sticker.

+1 im 19 too and i think the exhaust is perfect....its so...ahh i dunno i cant explain...perfect lol...a friend of mine has a scion with a huge can in the back and i think its too loud (especially since its a slow car) and i just prefer the 'little beast' exhaust we have
Lol I just got done tweaking my forge bpv and realized this while driving...can only hear the turbo now at half throttle, once you go WOT, corksport takes over

Sounds like dickhead cops that pick on kids because they have nothing better to do, to me.....(blarf) Seriously, the stuff I used to get pulled over for when I was 16, 17, 18 and still in school....music too loud right after school (come on seriously???) Window tint, green lights on my car, it's ridiculous.

Once engine break in was done, I was at a light with a bright yellow cavalier with full body kit, hood scoop, wing, tint, subs, etc. When I asked if he wanted to go, he shrugged and said yeah sure. I left when I heard him shift into second and stomped all over him. Couldn't see him anymore by the time I was in fourth. He never saw it coming!!!!!!!
When he finally caught up, he's hanging out the window yelling and hollering "No fair, didn't know you had turbo!!!!!!!"

there are people out there without a clue, i get Bimmers revving at me. its the riced out civics that stay away. its funny, i'd see them coming up to me at high speeds then slow down and stay about a car or so behind me in the lane next to me.
then again i do have a loud ass sleeper looking exhaust. 3 inch tip but only 2 resonators (catless) no muffler LOL had it on for a week and i'm done.
